Job Summary

Junior R&D project leader in cementitious products (adhesives, mortars, repairs) within Sika’s Industrial Chemistry team. You’ll lead development and reformulation projects, design formulations, manage lab tests per EN standards, coordinate industrial trials with production, analyze raw materials and suppliers, and document developments while collaborating with marketing and sales to translate market needs into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead development and reformulation projects for cementitious adhesives, façade mortars, cement-based products, renders, and repair solutions.
•Develop formulations and manage laboratory tests per standards (EN 12004, EN 998, EN 1504, etc.).
•Coordinate industrial tests and scale-up with production.
•Analyze raw materials, evaluate suppliers and propose technical or economical alternatives.
•Document developments and draft technical reports and product specifications.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Civil Engineering or related fields; master’s in construction materials, cement chemistry or project management is a plus.
•1-2 years of experience in formulation or development of construction chemical products, preferably cementitious products (adhesives, mortars, repairs, self-levelers).
•Experience in managing technical projects or roles with technical responsibility.
•Knowledge of additives, cements, mineral fillers and cement chemistry; ability to design formulations and analyze results.
•Spanish native or advanced, technical English (reading data sheets, standards, communicating with suppliers).
•Advanced Excel (Office package)
