Job Summary

Lead the preparation of civil structural engineering drawings for bridge projects using WSP CAD standards and templates. Develop CAD/BIM templates and libraries, coordinate drawing priorities and deadlines with the project engineer and US team, and maintain document control. Create detailed, accurate structural and reinforcement detailing deliverables using Microstation, Open Bridge Modeler, and Civil 3D, while providing technical support and guidance to CAD/BIM technicians and staying current with CAD technology advancements.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead preparation of engineering drawings using WSP CAD standards and templates, including developing templates and libraries for CAD/BIM work.
•Coordinate drawing priorities and deadlines with the project engineer and US team, ensuring alignment with team workflows and maintaining document control.
•Create detailed and accurate civil structural engineering drawings for civil bridges using Microstation, Open Bridge Modeler, and Civil 3D.
•Provide technical support and guidance to CAD/BIM technicians, and proactively raise queries by identifying necessary inputs and following up.
•Review engineers' sketches and drawings for unbuildable or conflicting details, maintain technical standards, and support knowledge sharing and CAD/BIM training initiatives.

Key Requirements

•Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
•Over 15 years of experience as a Principal/Senior BIM Technician specializing in structural engineering and drafting of civil bridges.
•Proficiency in Bentley software (Microstation and ORD).
•Proficiency in Autodesk software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
•Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and reinforcement detailing, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
