Job Summary

Design, implement, and operate a secure edge and network perimeter across dLocal’s global cloud and hybrid environments. Own the edge-security stack (WAFs, firewalls, proxies, load balancers, and routing policies), define and tune protection rules, and deliver network resilience with disaster recovery. Build observability and automation, drive infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, and lead incident response in partnership with Platform, Information Security, Compliance, and Product.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, implement, and operate secure network solutions across cloud and hybrid environments focused on availability, latency, and disaster recovery.
•Own and continuously improve the edge-security stack including cloud WAFs, firewalls, proxies, load balancers, and traffic-routing policies.
•Define, tune, and maintain WAF and firewall rules and policies while reducing noise and false positives.
•Build network and security observability using logs, metrics, dashboards, alerting, synthetic checks, and traffic analysis.
•Drive incident response and remediation for network, connectivity, WAF, and edge-security events, coordinating DR procedures and postmortems.

Key Requirements

•Hands-on experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting cloud networking in production with high availability and security requirements.
•Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, DNS, routing, NAT, load balancing, proxies, and VPN/IPsec network troubleshooting.
•Practical experience with AWS networking services including VPC, subnets, route tables, Route 53, load balancers, Transit Gateway, VPC peering, security groups, Network ACLs, and AWS Network Firewall.
•Experience managing WAFs and/or edge-security controls protecting web applications and APIs, ideally in multi-provider environments.
•Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation (e.g., Terraform) and monitoring/observability platforms (e.g., ELK, New Relic, Coralogix).
