Job Summary

Lead and contribute to the design of NYC transportation projects across highway design, urban street design, transit infrastructure and transmission utilities. Serve as Civil Project Lead interfacing with clients and consultants, preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and permitting packages. Supervise and mentor civil engineers through quality reviews and deliver project documents on schedule, managing task assignments, components, budgets, and coordination across stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and contribute to the design of NYC transportation projects including highway design, urban street design, transit infrastructure and facilities, and transmission utilities/services.
•Lead a team of civil engineers, providing technical guidance and supervision to deliver project documents on schedule.
•Interface with clients, project management, discipline leads, and consultants as the Civil Project Lead.
•Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and permitting packages for local transportation and infrastructure agencies.
•Manage task assignments, project components, and budgets while conducting quality reviews of work produced by junior and mid-level engineers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
•10+ years of civil engineering experience delivering NYC public-infrastructure design.
•Experience delivering transportation projects for New York public agencies, including MTA, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NYCDDC, and Port Authority of NY & NJ.
•Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, and Bentley OpenRoads Designer.
•Professional Engineer license in New York (required) plus experience mentoring engineering staff and presenting solutions to NYC agencies.
