Job Summary

Support and evolve Visa’s storage and backup infrastructure as part of the Storage Operations team within Global Systems Support. You’ll maintain and secure Storage/SAN environments, automate recurring infrastructure tasks using SRE principles and infrastructure-as-code, and handle complex provisioning, replication, disaster recovery, migrations, and documentation. Serve as a Level 2 escalation point, work scheduled on-call, and be prepared for shift days while collaborating across Systems, Database, Engineering, and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain, secure, and ensure availability of Storage and SAN infrastructure while following operational, security, and procedural models.
•Automate infrastructure tasks to reduce repetitive work using SRE practices and infrastructure as code.
•Perform complex provisioning, advanced maintenance, data replication, disaster recovery, data migration, and documentation for Open Systems Storage and Backup environments.
•Provide Level 2 escalation support and support SAN/NAS/backup solutions across tiers under minimal supervision.
•Participate in scheduled on-call and be willing to work shift days (Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday) from 9:00AM to 6:00PM local time.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field is preferred.
•Interest in learning storage technologies and working in an infrastructure support role.
•Experience with UNIX (Linux, AIX, Solaris), VMware or other hypervisors, and Windows operating environments.
•Strong oral and written communication plus interpersonal skills.
•Monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis experience; ability to self-learn and automate via scripting/coding for infrastructure tasks.
