Key Responsibilities

  • •Inspire, coordinate, and lead the vehicle engineering team to deliver technical products, schedules, and budgets.
  • •Set technical direction and standards for mechanical, thermal, structural, harness, propulsion, and mechanical ground support engineering teams; establish KPIs and objectives.
  • •Coordinate risk management across teams, escalate critical risks, and oversee program-level schedules, resources, and staffing plans.
  • •Review and approve proposal labor estimates and technical baselines; manage bid efforts and program communications regarding technical work products.
  • •Drive cross-functional collaboration and process improvement with Quality, Safety, Manufacturing, and Program Management, including standardizing tools and templates (e.g., IMS and WBS).

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum of 14 years of engineering experience in the aerospace and/or defense industry, including 4 years as a functional manager.
  • •Experience serving as a Project Lead and/or functional manager in spacecraft development.
  • •Demonstrated knowledge of satellite systems and components, with ability in vehicle engineering design integration and analysis.
  • •Proven experience in structural design and analysis (static/dynamic/loads/FEM), thermal design and analysis, and mechanical systems and mechanisms.
  • •Familiarity with propulsion systems, harness and cable design, design for manufacturability and sustainment, and integration, assembly, and test (AI&T) flow.
