Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with the Executive Producer and Producers to produce the daily South Florida Live program.
  • •Assist with coordination of elements for daily lifestyle segments and produce required on-air assets.
  • •Write copy for daily segments, using clips and graphics as needed to deliver the program’s message.
  • •Find background information and research segment ideas using sources like the internet, newspapers, and magazines.
  • •Assist with booking guests and story production/pre-interviews, create graphics, and trigger control-room elements; support other platforms and breaking-news coverage.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in journalism (or equivalent).
  • •At least 2 years of television production experience.
  • •Independently develop story ideas, conduct research, and plan show segments.
  • •Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, with additional hours on short notice.
  • •Must be able to work in Miami, FL and travel as needed for special assignments; must have a valid driver’s license and unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
