Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform access control, visitor processing and screening using X-ray machines and metal detectors.
  • •Conduct vehicular and foot security patrols, traffic control, alarm monitoring, and response.
  • •Maintain receipt, accountability, and safeguarding of keys; manage civil disturbances and emergency situations.
  • •Complete reports and maintain records, including providing testimony when required.
  • •Respond to injury/illness and perform emergency actions (first aid/CPR/resuscitation) until emergency personnel arrive.

Key Requirements

  • •Meet at least one qualification: 3 years of security experience in the past 5 years, 3 years of military/National Guard service, an associate degree or higher in a security/law enforcement field, completion of a police officer basic training academy, or equivalent experience/education approved by the CTS.
  • •Fluently speak, read, comprehend, and write in English.
  • •Pass background screening, psychological evaluation, drug testing, and all required initial training before assignment.
  • •Meet TVA suitability criteria prior to assignment and maintain documentation of TVA Personnel Security and USCIS compliance.
  • •Be physically and operationally capable of performing security duties (12-hour endurance, operating security equipment, first aid/CPR capabilities, and firearm use as required).
