Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the analytics direction of the Data Platform, defining vision, standards, and roadmap for metrics, models, and reporting.
  • •Unify data models across product areas by consolidating fragmented metric definitions into a single governed semantic layer.
  • •Design, validate, and continuously improve merchant-facing reports and analytics used to study and grow their business.
  • •Establish documentation standards for APIs, datasets, metrics, and columns so definitions are consistent from warehouse to merchant-facing reports.
  • •Define validation rules, reconciliation checks, and metric governance to ensure data quality and consistency across where numbers appear.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience in data science or analytics engineering, including at least 2 years in a senior or ownership-level role.
  • •Build or govern metrics layers / semantic models used by multiple teams (e.g., dbt, LookML or equivalent).
  • •Strong SQL and Python with deep comfort using warehouse-level data (BigQuery, ClickHouse, Redshift or similar).
  • •Design customer- or merchant-facing analytics products such as dashboards, embedded reports, or analytics APIs.
  • •Partner with product managers to translate business questions into governed, reusable data models.
