Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide structural engineering expertise to integrate engineering standards, maintainability, and operational requirements into project designs and execution.
  • •Design, analyze, review, and stamp structural engineering packages, including calculations, drawings, and specifications using STAAD.Pro.
  • •Independently lead technical reviews of engineering deliverables for compliance with Rio Tinto standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • •Develop and govern structural engineering standards, work practices, and systems to enable consistent project execution.
  • •Support MOC, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and risk assessment activities (HAZOP, LOPA, PHA), and respond to critical structural issues and emerging operational risks.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural specialization (or equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant experience).
  • •Professional Engineer registration with PEGNL, or eligibility to obtain registration.
  • •Extensive experience delivering engineering or maintenance solutions in large-scale industrial, mining, processing, or brownfield environments.
  • •Experience leading technical scope, consultants, and stakeholders across multidisciplinary projects.
