Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide visible operational leadership in a 24/7 environment with accountability for safety and occupational health across the department.
  • •Act as second-in-command to the General Manager for operational matters and deputise when required.
  • •Own utilization performance and improvement plans, ensuring safe, reliable conversion of capacity into technically compliant product.
  • •Translate demand and capacity into production plans, schedules, and resource priorities; maintain execution, recovery, and escalation routines.
  • •Lead, motivate, and develop a production team (~40 people) and drive cross-functional improvements to meet volumes, labor, cost, quality, and delivery KPIs while adhering to the department budget.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 10 years’ experience in operations/manufacturing leadership within a complex production environment, including 24/7 operations and teams of 30+ people.
  • •A degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/operational discipline.
  • •Proven track record delivering results across safety, quality, delivery, cost, people, and continuous improvement.
  • •Strong decision-making under pressure and ability to lead through ambiguity and change.
  • •Strong production-planning, capacity-management, and performance-management capability with sound financial judgement.
