Key Responsibilities

  • •Support Applied Materials’ R&D and manufacturing operations with EHS programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • •Ensure compliance with EHS codes, standards, and regulations and act as a liaison with regulatory authorities.
  • •Conduct EHS training for employees and management and ensure proper EHS incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • •Provide management updates and escalation on EHS projects/programs and maintain communication with site functions.
  • •Manage consultants/contractors for EHS work, including scoping, project management, and budget management.

Key Requirements

  • •RSPP certification (occupational safety engineer certificate) is required.
  • •Minimum 5 years of professional experience in an EHS function in a comparable industry (R&D manufacturing operations).
  • •Knowledge of EHS legislation and implementation in Italy, including general EHS auditing to identify improvement opportunities.
  • •Experience conducting EHS investigations and driving corrective actions to closure.
  • •Fluent English and Italian (written and verbal), plus strong skills with MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
