Job Summary

Work with Red Hat Consulting customers to design, deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud and container solutions built on Red Hat technologies. You will assess and implement platforms including OpenShift Container Platform, Ansible Automation Platform, RHEL, OpenShift Data Foundation, and Kubernetes-based stacks, while addressing infrastructure needs like networking, storage, security, and resilience. You’ll act as a subject matter expert and contribute to sales and proposal presentations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Assess, design, and implement Red Hat offerings including OpenShift Container Platform, Ansible Automation Platform, RHEL, ODF, and Kubernetes-based technologies.
•Implement automated, containerized cloud application platform solutions focusing on networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, and resilience.
•Rapidly learn new technologies such as container orchestration, container registries, cloud storage, and software-defined networks.
•Serve as a subject matter expert on-site to address technical and strategic IT needs.
•Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of complex open source solutions.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or MBA is acceptable.
•3+ years of Linux system administration experience, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or a derivative.
•2+ years of experience working with Kubernetes and container/PaaS technologies (e.g., AKS, GKS, EKS, Docker, Podman).
•2+ years of scripting or programming experience.
•Knowledge of system management, including installation, repositories, and deploying virtualized systems with client-based security.
