Key Responsibilities

  • •Install and qualify new process equipment.
  • •Troubleshoot day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems (including tool-down, yield, and quality issues).

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s degree in engineering or a similar technical discipline with 3+ years of First Solar technical experience, or 6+ years in manufacturing technical work.
  • •Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in engineering or a similar technical discipline (experience not required; combined technical experience preferred).
  • •Understanding and ability to apply statistical data analysis and demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
  • •Understanding metrology and measurement best practices.
  • •Ability to write manufacturing documentation; experience with DOE/SPC/DMAIC and relevant process areas is desired.
