Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and execute functional, system, regression, scale, performance, interoperability, resiliency, and high-availability tests for IOS XR routing and BNG features.
  • •Validate BNG subscriber technologies and session lifecycle scenarios, including PPP/PPPoE, DHCPv4/DHCPv6, DHCP relay, Prefix Delegation, RADIUS, AAA, and accounting.
  • •Test Layer 2/Layer 3 networking technologies and control-plane/forwarding-plane behaviors such as BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, EVPN, VPNs, ECMP, BFD, QoS, and HA mechanisms.
  • •Develop reusable test automation and build test environments across physical, virtual, containerized, and cloud platforms using tools and frameworks such as Docker/Kubernetes and network simulation platforms.
  • •Troubleshoot complex failures using IOS XR logs, protocol traces, packet captures, telemetry, RADIUS transactions, and resource data; integrate tests into CI/CD and provide evidence-based release recommendations while mentoring junior engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
  • •5+ years of experience in software engineering, network product testing, test automation, or quality engineering.
  • •Strong understanding of BNG architecture and subscriber-management technologies (PPP/PPPoE, DHCP, RADIUS, AAA, accounting, session management).
  • •Advanced Python skills for test automation, scripting, API interaction, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • •Experience with Linux/Unix and Git, plus building system/scale/performance/resiliency test scenarios and CI/CD pipelines.
