Job Summary

Originate residential first mortgage loans for outside referrals, managing each loan from application through closing. Build referral relationships with realtors, builders, and professional/personal contacts, and meet sales and cross-selling objectives set by management. Ensure compliance and risk accountability throughout the process, gather and deliver required loan documentation on time, and use loan tools (Fannie Mae Form 1003, credit reports, Loan Prospector, and LOMAS) to keep pipeline and applicants moving forward with timely updates.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop referral contacts (realtors, builders, professional and personal contacts).
•Originate mortgage applications end-to-end from application to closing, completing Fannie Mae Form 1003 and managing submissions.
•Use required systems/tools to access daily rates, review applicant credit reports, respond to Loan Prospector, and transmit loans to LOMAS.
•Collect and deliver required loan documentation within management time frames and manage the pipeline through closing.
•Communicate timely loan updates and progress to branches and/or applicants while attending Consumer Lending meetings as required.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory (four-year college degree preferred).
•Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
•Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
•Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
•S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through NMLS is required.
