Job Summary

Lead control system engineering for Solar, BESS and Wind renewables projects. Manage complete project lifecycle from inputs and design to FAT, commissioning and site testing, guiding a team in Ovation SCADA-based control and interfaces, with hands-on engineering, testing and customer demos across greenfield and retrofit projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead Ovation controls and Ovation Green SCADA based Solar/BESS/Wind greenfield and retrofit projects, Software and hardware engineering and configuration
•Coordinate and guide the team to implement controls from functional diagrams and descriptions; perform tie-back simulation testing and modify control logics/SCADA; configure on third-party protocols and communications
•Prepare IO lists, datasets and DBID; distribute engineering work to system integrators and participate in KOM/meetings; engage in customer demos, FATs, SATs, and commissioning activities
•Perform PSCAD, PSSE, Digsilent modeling with suppliers; read electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs) and ensure project modeling accuracy
•Conduct process testing of Solar/BESS/Hybrid plants; ensure compliance with IEEE, IEC, NEC, and grid codes; work with Ovation Green product team using Matlab, PPC, and JavaScript
•Set up Ovation system, ensure redundancy and I/O testing; perform analogue/digital device testing and fault finding during commissioning; diagnose faults in Ovation system and network interfaces (OPC, Modbus, DNP3, serial, IEC 61850)
•Perform site commissioning for Solar/BESS/Wind/Hybrid plants; travel to project sites for site assignments, testing and tuning of electrical control functions
•Engage with vendors and subcontractors; ensure safe practices and site safety guidelines
