Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to transport vehicles, equipment, and Class IX materiel.
  • •Support equipment turn-in operations by hauling assets to the site or designated locations and coordinating scheduled pick-ups and deliveries.
  • •Perform loading, securing, and unloading using chains, binders, straps, and blocking/bracing, ensuring proper load securement and weight distribution.
  • •Conduct PMCS preventive maintenance checks and report deficiencies; maintain driver logs, trip tickets, fuel records, and inspection sheets.
  • •Complete shipping/transport documentation and comply with DOT regulations, Army safety standards, and HAZMAT transport rules; update transportation systems when required.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 23.17 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL—Class A or B as required).
  • •3–5 years of heavy truck driving experience; prior Army or contractor logistics experience preferred.
  • •Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA safety regulations and Army transportation regulations (AR 55-355, AR 710-2, DTR 4500.9-R).
  • •Must have a Real ID, a valid state of Texas driver’s license with proof of vehicle insurance, and be able to obtain/maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • •Must be able to obtain Tier1/NACI (Public trust) background eligibility; basic English proficiency; Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook).
