Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end strategic sourcing for assigned direct-material commodity portfolios, including supplier selection, RFQs, awards, and ongoing commercial management.
  • •Lead commercial negotiations on price, tooling/NRE, MVA, payment terms, and MPAs; defend should-cost and inflation pass-through positions.
  • •Build and execute supply-continuity strategies (dual sourcing, alternate source qualification, buffer/inventory plans) to mitigate sole-source and EOL risk.
  • •Drive NPI sourcing in partnership with Engineering and Product, including early supplier engagement and DFx/should-cost tradeoffs ahead of ramp.
  • •Bring AI and analytics into procurement workflows, and mentor analysts and supply managers while partnering with Finance, Planning, Legal, and Operations Engineering.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or global supply management with direct commodity ownership and commercial negotiation of multi-million-dollar spend.
  • •Experience sourcing hardware/electro-mechanical components such as cables/connectors, PCB/PCBA, sensors, batteries, memory, or semiconductors.
  • •Proven NPI sourcing experience from early supplier engagement through production launch with close Engineering partnership.
  • •Strong should-cost and cost-modeling capability, including defending cost positions and driving measurable cost-down results.
  • •Experience managing global suppliers and contract/joint-design manufacturers, including negotiation with partners in Asia.
