Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain heavy vehicle mobile plant equipment to defined standards and procedures to achieve equipment availability targets.
  • •Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance, inspections, diagnosis, and repair for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • •Conduct maintenance activities in an underground environment for Sandvik and Epiroc drill rigs, CAT underground trucks and loaders, and ancillary mobile equipment.
  • •Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the work management process.
  • •Use computerised maintenance systems (SAP) for maintenance activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Trade qualified Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter / Mechanic (Australian recognised).
  • •Experience working as a Diesel Fitter on underground drilling equipment (Sandvik DD421, Epiroc Simba LC6 and MC6) in a mining environment.
  • •Previous experience on underground load and haul mobile fleet including CAT R1700, R2900, R3000 LHD and AD63, AD60/AD45 trucks.
  • •Hydraulic fault finding experience and capability to diagnose, inspect, and repair mobile plant.
  • •Class C or higher Drivers Licence; HRWL Dogging, Rigging and Forklift and current First Aid/CPR are desirable/required as stated.
