Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a MIG welding machine and air grinder to assemble and weld production parts, including tank covers, nut guards, doors, risers/sills, and cubicle components.
  • •Check parts against prints to verify proper dimensions, locations, and latest revisions for E.C.O.s and N.C.R.s.
  • •Set up material in a positioner, jig, or fixtures; make simple layouts when required.
  • •Weld or stud weld hardware to the part, tack weld, adjust wire feed for proper weld seams, and grind/trim excess weld for fit and appearance.
  • •Operate crane, electric stacker, and oxyacetylene cutting/carbon arc torch as needed to move, position, and unload heavy parts and assemblies.

Key Requirements

  • •High school graduate or GED from an accredited institution.
  • •Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience in an Eaton facility, or welding certification, or current enrollment in a welding program with an anticipated completion date in 2026.
  • •Previous welding experience in manufacturing or a related field.
  • •Ability to successfully complete Eaton’s Power Systems weld test with a score of 80% or higher.
  • •Ability to work overtime when required and lift up to 50 lbs while performing essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
