Key Responsibilities

  • •Install, splice, and test copper cables for projects, maintenance, and emergency repairs.
  • •Perform reel, continuity, and conformance testing using industry-standard equipment (e.g., OTDR, T-Berd).
  • •Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair copper networks by locating and resolving faults to ensure service continuity.
  • •Install, configure, and enable telecommunication services including POTS, HSI, VDSL, FTTH, and networking (including GPON, DSL, bonded DSL).
  • •Read and interpret service orders and technical drawings, coordinate testing, document results, update orders/billing, and follow safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Must be able to work varying shifts and hours, including possible mandatory overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • •Valid state driver’s license and satisfactory driving record; may require a CDL.
  • •Ability to climb and work at elevations exceeding 18 feet and perform strenuous physical activities, including lifting 75+ pounds.
  • •May require compliance with State and Federal DOT Drive Qualification Regulations, including drug and alcohol testing.
  • •Preferred: prior experience as a customer-facing telecom operations technician and ADSL installation/repair experience.
