Develop and execute advanced EMC verification and validation test plans to ensure products meet rigorous emissions/immunity and regulatory requirements. Lead troubleshooting of EMI failures, maintain EMC lab readiness, and collaborate with hardware and cross-functional product teams throughout design, development, and qualification. Provide mentorship and guidance to EMC test technicians, create EMC control/test documentation, and support compliance reporting while improving testing effectiveness with automation and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and execute complex EMC test plans and procedures for advanced products.
•Perform radiated and conducted emissions/immunity testing in anechoic chambers and shielding rooms, and ensure lab readiness.
•Partner with hardware design teams to apply EMC best practices, including grounding, shielding, component selection, and PCB layout strategies.
•Analyze test results to identify root causes of EMI failures and recommend mitigation and product performance improvements.
•Create EMC control plans, test plans/procedures/reports and provide guidance and mentorship to junior EMC test engineers.

Key Requirements

•Minimum of 5 years in EMI/EMC design, testing, or a related field.
•Deep understanding of electromagnetic theory, circuit fundamentals, and RF principles.
•Knowledge of EMC principles for PCB layout, component selection, and filter design.
•Working knowledge of standards such as ISO Vehicle, IEC, CISPR, FCC, MIL-STD-461, and RTCA/DO-160.
•Experience using test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, signal generators, RF amplifiers, and antennas), including creating TILE profiles (or equivalent control software).
