Job Summary

Provide production support and cloud-native troubleshooting for enterprise customers using Red Hat’s OpenShift ecosystem across hybrid cloud environments. Lead incident/change/problem management, triage critical issues, perform RCA, and drive automation to maximize uptime and reduce costs. Resolve complex problems across logging, monitoring, networking, storage, and service mesh components (including Istio). Act as a regional/global SME, partner with engineering and SRE teams, and contribute to knowledge management and open source.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide direct production support for critical environments, performing automation activities, issue remediation, and root cause analysis to improve uptime and reduce costs.
•Perform incident/change/problem management, call triaging, and critical issue resolution for complex customer and internal problems.
•Support customers across OpenShift components including Logging (Elasticsearch, FluentD, Kibana), Monitoring, Networking (SDN/OVN in Kubernetes), Storage, and Service Mesh/Istio.
•Act as a regional/global subject matter expert on one of the OpenShift components and guide other Red Hat engineers on complex issues.
•Offer developer-to-developer assistance for cloud-native service development and architecture, collaborating with engineers and SRE teams and contributing to knowledge management and open source.

Key Requirements

•Previous experience configuring and troubleshooting OpenShift or Kubernetes and components such as Logging, Monitoring, Networking, Storage, or Service Mesh.
•Previous professional Linux system administration experience.
•Practical experience with developer tools for code management (git, GitHub, GitLab) and bug tracking systems (Bugzilla, Jira, etc.).
•Strong communication skills and the ability to analyze and resolve customer issues effectively.
•Ability to work with conflicting priorities while maintaining a customer-centric focus.
