Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute precision mechanical work including shaft-to-shaft alignments, timing and V-belt tensioning, and teardown/rework/assembly of gear reducers, bearings, and fasteners.
  • •Establish mechanical inspection and preventive maintenance routes to maximize plant uptime.
  • •Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical drive system failures across process, utility, and manufacturing equipment.
  • •Act as a technical leader on shift, mentoring shift maintenance technicians through hands-on training and guidance.
  • •Create and update technical documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Single Page Lessons, and red-line schematics.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 8+ years of verifiable work experience in mechanical drive trains and machine repair, or an Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology, Journeyman certification, or Millwright certification with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • •Strong working knowledge of bearing preloads, gear sets, and AC/DC drives.
  • •Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair major and minor mechanical drive system failures across process, utility, and manufacturing equipment.
  • •Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, root-cause investigation mindset, high attention to detail, and commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • •Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and willingness to work overtime when needed.
