Job Summary

Grow KeyBank’s SBA client relationships by partnering with Business Banking Relationship Managers to acquire new clients and expand share of wallet for small businesses with annual sales of $3–10M. Leverage a network of centers of influence and internal sales partners to source opportunities, make joint calls, and deliver consultative financing solutions. Analyze client financials, support underwriting with the credit campus, ensure compliance for loan documentation, and help clients pursue growth initiatives through cross-sell.

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with Business Banking Relationship Managers to acquire new SBA clients and expand share of wallet within existing client portfolios.
•Source business development opportunities through internal/external COIs and community involvement; help drive referral pipeline.
•Make joint calls with BBRMs and SBRMs to enhance SBA product knowledge and support cross-selling.
•Analyze personal and business financial data to maintain a comprehensive understanding of client needs and differentiate Key in the marketplace.
•Partner with the credit campus to facilitate underwriting and ensure all compliance and loan documentation requirements are met, resolving exceptions as needed.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 80,000 - 150,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Maintain in-depth knowledge of SBA products and lending procedures, including underwriting, documentation, and compliance.
•5+ years of SBA lending experience with demonstrated success managing client relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources (preferred).
•Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience (required).
•Ability to meet and exceed sales goals in a high-volume, fast-paced environment through effective client engagement and closing strategies.
•Ability to research competitors’ strengths/weaknesses and understand how KeyBank differentiates in the marketplace.
