Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee day-to-day sanitation activities to ensure sanitation employees follow cleaning procedures for production lines and facility to meet/exceed GMP, USDA, and FDA requirements.
  • •Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain a food-safe and sanitary environment according to specifications and USDA requirements.
  • •Enforce safety and food-safety regulations including OSHA, FSIS, USDA, and HACCP.
  • •Mentor, coach, and train/cross-train sanitation employees; provide feedback and support career development.
  • •Administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions; assist with housekeeping, SQF, and regulatory audits while identifying improvement opportunities.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • •Minimum three (3) years applicable experience in a food manufacturing environment; poultry experience preferred.
  • •Three (3) years of leadership experience, including timekeeping requirements, policy adherence, conflict resolution, and efficient issue resolution.
  • •Working knowledge of poultry processing and food safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines, GMP and HACCP.
  • •Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their interactions and potential hazards, with good verbal and written communication skills.
