Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure the fair and ethical treatment of laying hens.
  • •Check feed and water for laying hens and baby chicks, and maintain feeders and waterers in good condition.
  • •Monitor production and check airflow; keep heaters in good condition when needed.
  • •Remove dead birds, catch loose birds, and walk rows to fix egg blockages.
  • •Maintain equipment and facilities by replacing light bulbs, cleaning egg transfers, blowing off egg collectors, and sweeping/blowing down barns as needed.
