Key Responsibilities

•Provide consulting engineering and project management for fire safety and fire system design across assigned projects; review drawings and ensure compliance with applicable codes; prepare schematic, detailed design, construction drawings and authority approvals.
•Develop fire safety plans for evacuation, wayfinding, firefighting equipment, fire wall ratings and escape widths.
•Produce rational designs and reports that document deviations from standard solutions to meet project requirements.
•Prepare drawings, tenders, specifications and budgets for fire prevention and protection issues for new and existing buildings.
•Advise architects, builders and construction personnel on fire prevention equipment, code interpretation and compliance; liaise with authorities on fire safety regulations.

Key Requirements

•Mechanical / Civils degree from an accredited university or Fire Technology degree in fire safety.
•8-12 years' experience in Fire Engineering; experience in Consulting Engineering would be advantageous.
•Knowledge and experience in local fire safety codes for code-compliant fire safety designs (BS/Euro Code/NCC of Australia/NFPA).
•Knowledge of other international codes and standards for rational fire designs (e.g., BS 9999, NFPA 101, BS 7974, IFEG).
•Background verification completion by a third-party agency (BGV) prior to employment.
