Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide consulting engineering and project management for fire safety and fire system design across assigned projects; review drawings and ensure compliance with applicable codes; prepare schematic, detailed design, construction drawings and authority approvals.
  • •Develop fire safety plans for evacuation, wayfinding, firefighting equipment, fire wall ratings and escape widths.
  • •Produce rational designs and reports that document deviations from standard solutions to meet project requirements.
  • •Prepare drawings, tenders, specifications and budgets for fire prevention and protection issues for new and existing buildings.
  • •Advise architects, builders and construction personnel on fire prevention equipment, code interpretation and compliance; liaise with authorities on fire safety regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •Mechanical / Civils degree from an accredited university or Fire Technology degree in fire safety.
  • •8-12 years' experience in Fire Engineering; experience in Consulting Engineering would be advantageous.
  • •Knowledge and experience in local fire safety codes for code-compliant fire safety designs (BS/Euro Code/NCC of Australia/NFPA).
  • •Knowledge of other international codes and standards for rational fire designs (e.g., BS 9999, NFPA 101, BS 7974, IFEG).
  • •Background verification completion by a third-party agency (BGV) prior to employment.
