Job Summary

Lead Cisco’s Failure Analysis & Prevention work to improve the accuracy of fault duplication and isolation for customer-reported hardware and software issues. Drive defect detection (including containment analysis), coordinate case review meetings with internal teams and suppliers, and ensure EMS partners deliver timely, accurate root-cause results. Collaborate cross-functionally across product, design, and manufacturing teams to evolve debug documentation, influence corrective/preventive actions, and enhance test and diagnostic coverage for field returns.

•Engage design engineering and communicate findings and resolutions for HW and SW field issues.

•Ensure EMS partners deliver timely and accurate results for duplicating and isolating root causes, and drive corrective/preventive action.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering with 8+ years of related experience.
•Experience with high-speed network interfaces and hands-on board design, including board design tools such as Cadence Allegro or similar.
•Hardware design, schematics generation, and design validation for service provide routing products.
•Experience with sophisticated high-speed board design and board bring-up.
•Knowledge of Cisco products.
