Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead project teams delivering civil and environmental engineering services for waste management facilities, including design/permitting, stormwater management, landfill gas management, operations planning, and construction quality assurance.
  • •Provide strategic business direction, support client relationships, and execute capture of CCR/fly ash/MSW projects.
  • •Develop and present winning client strategies for new and follow-on contract bids, contributing to technical, management, and business plans.
  • •Mentor and coach team members; serve as a reviewer and support proposal development across phases including post-submission activities.
  • •Manage and direct project design teams (as Engineer of Record, Project Manager, or Project Director) to ensure profitable performance and successful completion.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, with valid North Carolina PE registration.
  • •12+ years of experience in civil engineering design, including significant experience with federal regulations for CCR ponds and landfills.
  • •Knowledge of the power market and clientele.
  • •Good knowledge of in-situ stabilization techniques and civil construction techniques for CCR or other waste materials.
  • •Strong interpersonal and communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
