Key Responsibilities

  • •Use technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders; track machine service intervals; order parts; and diagnose root causes using real-time data.
  • •Practice safe job practices while repairing equipment in the shop and at customer locations.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance and repairs, including power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors (when required).
  • •Troubleshoot equipment failures and handle repairs at the shop and customer sites, working individually or with another technician.
  • •Maintain complete and timely paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed and assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.

Key Requirements

  • •Must own tools applicable to the position and have advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
  • •Experience inspecting, maintaining, and repairing power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
  • •Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, and reading/knowing schematics.
  • •Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • •High school diploma; trade school certificate preferred; EPA 608 certification preferred (obtain within 6–12 months if not already certified).
