Job Summary

Own TikTok Shop’s external engagement strategy for the Governance and Experience (GNE) team—bridging regulators, industry partners, and rights holders with internal cross-functional teams. You’ll design and continuously improve governance frameworks, operating models, and SOPs, translate evolving regulatory expectations and stakeholder feedback into scalable programs, and coordinate global initiatives to strengthen compliance, trust, and operational excellence.

Job Function: Data Science & Machine Learning

Key Responsibilities

•Represent GNE in external engagements with Government Relations, Public Relations, and Brand Relations, especially around Intellectual Property and Product Safety.
•Design, implement, and continuously improve governance frameworks, operating models, and SOPs for external stakeholder engagement at scale.
•Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Listings & IPR, Regulatory Compliance, Legal and Public Policy) to align and execute strategic initiatives.
•Gather, assess, and communicate external stakeholder feedback, translating regulatory expectations and industry insights into operational and policy improvements.
•Identify emerging regulatory trends and risks, recommend scalable solutions/mitigations, and coordinate global initiatives to strengthen regulator and partner engagement.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
•5+ years’ experience in regulatory compliance, public policy, trust & safety, governance, or a related field.
•3+ years leading cross-functional programs, operations, governance, or process improvement initiatives.
•Experience designing governance frameworks, operational processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
•Ability to influence and drive alignment across multiple cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
