Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage environmental inputs to EIA screening/scoping, environmental assessments/Environmental Statements, and supporting documents, including technical review of specialist chapters.
  • •Drive work across project life stages from early strategy and site identification studies through feasibility, optioneering/option selection, outline and detailed design, conditions discharge, construction, and operation/maintenance.
  • •Ensure deliverables meet high-quality standards and comply with rigorous quality management procedures.
  • •Manage resources and budgets effectively, with support as applicable, and coordinate specialist technical inputs.
  • •Collaborate within integrated design teams to identify environmental constraints, avoid/mitigate impacts, deliver benefits, and manage client relationships and internal supply teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrate interest and experience managing and coordinating multidisciplinary environmental inputs to infrastructure development projects.
  • •Strong knowledge of EIA, environmental assessment methods, planning legislation, and relevant consenting and licensing regimes, with DCO and/or TWAO experience as a bonus.
  • •Experience delivering consultancy services with strong project management skills, including programming, resourcing, and budget management.
  • •Confident engagement with stakeholders, with excellent verbal communication, report writing, and technical review skills.
  • •A degree in a relevant environmental discipline (preferably Masters level) with appropriate professional membership; Chartered Environmentalist status and interest in mentoring/line management are advantageous.
