Build and scale Compass’ backend systems across core disciplines like client tools and CRM communications/contacts. Design and operate high-performance, distributed, event-driven microservices and cloud infrastructure, define complex backend delivery plans, and own service reliability. Integrate AI models, streaming pipelines, and telemetry to automate workflows, and drive engineering excellence through code/design reviews and comprehensive automated testing. Partner with product and frontend teams to deliver seamless API integrations.

•5+ years of professional software development experience architecting and delivering complex backend systems independently.
•Strong proficiency in backend languages such as Go or Java.
•Experience with Python, RESTful/gRPC API design, microservices patterns, and data architecture (SQL/NoSQL).
•Hands-on cloud-native experience with major cloud providers (AWS preferred) plus CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Agile familiarity.
