Job Summary

Coach elementary teachers to improve classroom literacy outcomes by modeling evidence-based instructional strategies and working directly with students in whole and small groups. Facilitate study groups, train teachers to analyze data and differentiate instruction, and support implementation of research-based reading programs with fidelity. Provide coaching and mentoring to colleagues and help lead school leadership teams in a virtual, full-time role with typical 9–5 hours.

Key Responsibilities

•Model effective instructional strategies for teachers through weekly work with students in whole groups, small groups, or individually.
•Facilitate study groups.
•Train teachers in data analysis and using data to differentiate instruction.
•Coach and mentor colleagues while helping ensure research-based reading programs are implemented with fidelity.
•Work with teachers to prioritize the activities and roles with the greatest impact on student literacy achievement and help lead and support leadership teams.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Michigan Elementary Teaching Certification is required.
•Must reside in Michigan.
•Bachelor’s degree or higher with Elementary teaching certification and elementary teaching experience.
•Master’s in reading or equivalent, plus LETRS training.
•Ability to travel 20% of the time and clear required background check.
