Job Summary

Senior Mechanical Engineer for the Water team supporting Scotland-based projects, delivering feasibility studies, detailed design and construction support for water and wastewater infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

•Prepare feasibility studies, outline design, detailed design and construction support
•Produce plant layouts, design drawings and mechanical plant selection including specifications, WIMES Data Sheets, valve schedules, equipment schedules, lifting strategies and headloss calculations
•Collaborate with water and other discipline teams nationwide (civil, electrical, process)
•Visit sites to carry out surveys and liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers
•Attend and contribute to design reviews such as HAZOPs, HAZIDs, ALMs and SWIFTS

Key Requirements

•A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
•Progress towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant institution such as IMechE
•Proven ability to deliver engineering designs, reports, drawings, technical specifications and calculations
•Hands-on experience delivering innovative water and wastewater engineering solutions
•Experience in coordinating with multi-discipline teams and stakeholders
