Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead initiatives to deliver an industry-leading Elasticsearch search engine focused on speed and relevance.
  • •Build and enhance search features and resolve bugs, making code easier to understand and sometimes inventing new algorithms or data structures.

  • •Drive improvements to search relevance based on expertise, questions, and instincts.

Key Requirements

  • •Professional experience with search or vector databases, using algorithms and libraries such as HNSW or IVF at scale.
  • •Strong core Java skills, including data structures and concurrency constructs (e.g., lambdas).
  • •Experience using AI to accelerate development, debug complex systems, and optimize code while owning outcomes.
  • •Ability to collaborate with engineers and drive projects from design through delivery in a distributed environment.
  • •Experience with data storage technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
