Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as a hands-on technical build partner across a portfolio of strategic customers, driving each engagement from idea to launch.
  • •Shape scalable, resilient architectures on the Cloudflare platform and guide key design decisions to prevent bottlenecks.
  • •Prototype and build reference implementations with customer teams, including configuring and demonstrating the right approach on Cloudflare.
  • •Review customer code and help improve quality, performance, and security; diagnose and resolve hard technical problems across the stack.
  • •Write reference code, samples, and technical guidance; surface real-world edge cases and product gaps back to Cloudflare’s Product and Engineering teams.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including time in a customer-facing engineering role (forward deployed, solutions or sales engineering, professional services, or developer relations).
  • •Experience delivering production-grade systems with a builder mindset (not only advising).
  • •Proficiency with modern languages such as TypeScript, Rust, and Go.
  • •Broad full-stack architectural fluency across frontend, backend, data/storage, and distributed infrastructure.
  • •Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and understanding of serverless, networking, and security primitives.
