Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical leadership from early-stage development through preliminary and detailed design to execution and closeout, ensuring client expectations are met and high engineering standards are achieved.
•Collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects, delivering integrated designs and building relationships with clients and internal teams.
•Deliver complex, large multi-disciplinary projects and tenders by interpreting, planning, organising, executing, and coordinating efforts.
•Safeguard through technical management of Safe by Design, including compliance with CDM and CSM, and appoint competent discipline lead engineers.
•Anticipate and navigate the complexities of transportation projects by working with clients to overcome them.

Key Requirements

•Chartered or Incorporated Engineer CEng / Ieng or working towards this status.
•Recognised engineering qualification or preferably a degree in Engineering.
•Has performed role of Design Engineering Manager in multiple scenarios
•Strong technical leadership of Design teams in the delivery of projects focused on delivering for the Client.
•Knowledge of system design interfaces and experience in technical engineering leadership which impact on discipline design principles and demonstrable experience of the successful management of interfaces within projects.
