Key Responsibilities

  • •Architect, develop, implement, and continuously tune detection rules and correlation logic across SIEM and EDR platforms.
  • •Identify and remediate detection gaps by mapping coverage to MITRE ATT&CK and leveraging threat intelligence.
  • •Lead high-severity incident response, including containment, eradication, recovery, and incident documentation.
  • •Design and maintain SOAR automation playbooks and establish SOPs and investigation playbooks.
  • •Own SOC KPIs (MTTD, MTTR, false positive rate) and mentor the SOC team, running simulations to test readiness.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years hands-on experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC), Incident Response, or Detection Engineering role.
  • •Expert proficiency in SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Elastic, Sentinel) including rule creation, custom parsing, and dashboard development.
  • •Strong scripting skills in Python for security automation and data manipulation.
  • •Excellent understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and security appliances (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Proxies).
  • •B.Tech. in Computer Science, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
