Key Responsibilities

  • •Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda.
  • •Render opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by Claims Department.
  • •Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions and examinations under oath, and defend by trial or dispositive hearing as applicable.
  • •Document files in a clear, concise, professional manner for customers, clients, coworkers and employees.
  • •Follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts, prioritize tasks, and learn/apply large amounts of technical and procedural information.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 186,550

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor degree is REQUIRED
  • •Admission to the New York Bar is REQUIRED
  • •Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in New York and maintain CLE requirements
  • •2 to 6+ years of experience in insurance defense or personal injury litigation
  • •Must be able to travel for trials, hearings, depositions and conferences
