Key Responsibilities

  • •Proactively manage an assigned caseload of complex property claims, evaluating coverage and potential liability exposure within authority limits.
  • •Investigate claim damages by researching information from insureds, third parties, and external sources; identify discrepancies and potential subrogation.
  • •Determine coverage by analyzing complex policy terms and contingencies, including creating Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals when appropriate.
  • •Negotiate and settle complex claims, maintaining accurate and current documentation throughout the claims process.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.
  • •2 years of relevant property claims adjusting experience with moderate complexity losses, including writing estimates for dwelling and structural damages.
  • •Advanced knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools and platforms.
  • •Proficient knowledge of residential construction and property claims contracts, including interpretation of case law and state laws/regulations.
  • •Ability to travel 50-75% of the year and acquire/maintain an insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts.
