Key Responsibilities

  • •Review work orders to determine tools, equipment, time, manpower, parts, and supplies, and create work orders in SAP.
  • •Respond quickly to emergency calls and use technical documents to diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues.
  • •Monitor machinery during operation, disassemble and troubleshoot equipment, replace/reassemble parts, and test for proper functionality.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical systems (including pumps and packaging/slicing equipment) to minimize downtime.
  • •Install and maintain mechanical and electrical systems, fabricate replacement parts when needed, and follow safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED with 1+ years of related experience/training in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance, or 4 years of direct experience in that environment.
  • •Vocational/technical diploma or an associate degree from a technical maintenance or vocational school (preferred).
  • •Ability to function effectively in a team and interact with all levels of personnel and outside contractors.
  • •Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift, scissor lift, or other powered industrial trucks (PIT).
  • •Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, read and execute work orders, and translate equipment manuals.
