Job Summary

Design and deliver process engineering for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Conduct site surveys, perform hydraulic and capacity assessments, and develop basis of design through feasibility, outline, detail, and construction design. Prepare key documents such as PFDs and P&IDs, manage safety reviews (including HAZOP/HAZID) and assessments, and support bid proposals while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across the Water business.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and manage process design for wastewater and water infrastructure/treatment projects, including hydraulic assessments, capacity studies, equipment design, PFDs and P&IDs.
•Support site visits to carry out site surveys and liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
•Engage across design stages (feasibility through construction design) while meeting national and international design standards.
•Contribute to safety and risk documentation and reviews, including Hazardous Area Classification, LoPA, HAZOP, and HAZID.
•Produce project deliverables (calculations, drawings, and technical reports) and support bids and proposals interfacing with clients.

Key Requirements

•Experience designing water and wastewater engineering deliverables, with knowledge of treatment schemes.
•BEng or MEng in a related engineering field with experience in water and wastewater treatment.
•Chartered (or near Chartered) Member of a relevant Professional Institution.
•Experience working in the water sector for a consultancy.
