Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and execute large-scale code and infrastructure migration campaigns across Netflix’s fleet of repositories and services, owning the full lifecycle from scoping to completion.
  • •Build and extend internal automation platforms using AI-assisted code modification, rule-based transformations, and batch orchestration to scale migration impact.
  • •Create clear, well-researched technical design documents and communicate tradeoffs to drive decisions with data and stakeholder input.
  • •Partner with platform and product teams on infrastructure-level initiatives to de-risk execution and ensure successful campaign outcomes with minimal customer toil.
  • •Advocate for Paved Path adoption by improving adherence, instrument migrations with telemetry and dashboards, and build feedback loops to improve campaign design and execution.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong backend engineering skills building and operating production services at scale (Java or Python experience is a plus).
  • •Proven experience operating within large, complex infrastructure ecosystems, including service interdependencies and fleet-wide patterns.
  • •Deep hands-on experience building AI-driven solutions (as a builder, not just a user).
  • •Proven ability to drive complex, cross-functional technical projects from design through completion.
  • •Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred: EC2, S3, EKS/Kubernetes) and technical writing (design docs, tradeoff analyses, postmortems).
