Job Summary

Lead production operations on the front lines by overseeing the full manufacturing process, tracking yields, and making real-time adjustments to keep work running smoothly. Ensure safety, USDA health standards, HACCP, and food quality requirements are met. Supervise and coach hourly employees, drive daily communication and line meetings, analyze production metrics to improve efficiency, and coordinate equipment maintenance and setup to minimize downtime and costs.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform daily production floor inspections to identify unsafe conditions and take corrective action; lead safety audits and ergonomic initiatives while ensuring HACCP and USDA regulatory adherence.
•Maintain food safety and food quality by training employees on safe operating procedures, including lock-out/tag-out, and ensuring tasks follow product specifications.
•Track and analyze production yields, efficiencies, and variances; work with Operations Managers and Supervisors to improve workflows and equipment use to minimize downtime and reduce costs.
•Direct hourly production employees by aligning the team on safety, quality, and production goals; run monthly line meetings and conduct daily floor walks.
•Analyze product performance metrics and recommend continuous improvement actions to enhance efficiency, minimize costs, and maintain quality standards.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field plus 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Experience acting as a lead by providing training, coaching, or mentoring to less experienced staff, or managing a process or project.
•Strong oral and written communication skills while leading problem-solving for complex process issues, with solid analytical and math abilities.
•Ability to motivate, train, and coach employees to achieve peak performance in a positive, respectful, team-oriented environment.
•Adaptable to fast-paced environments, able to work in heat and cold, and willing to work long hours and weekends when needed.
