Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to mechanical design and development of early-stage projects shaping WHOOP hardware.
  • •Design, prototype, and test complex mechanical components around microelectronics, supporting concept-to-manufacturing release.
  • •Develop and present multiple design solutions for novel mechanical challenges; document design process and specifications.
  • •Support testing and validation plans using DOE methodologies to improve product quality, performance, and manufacturability.
  • •Operate in-house prototyping tools (3D printers, CNC machines) and partner with hardware and product teams on NPI readiness and technology evaluations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
  • •0-3 years of experience designing complex mechanical products, preferably for consumer electronics, wearables, or medical devices.
  • •Experience with SolidWorks (or a transferable CAD program), including advanced assemblies, surfacing, configuration management, and applying DFx feedback.
  • •Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping tools to build proof-of-concept models.
  • •Familiarity with validation testing methods and statistical analysis tools.
