Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead full month-end and year-end closing for the Polish entity, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • •Maintain accounting books under Polish Accounting Act (UoR) and Group Accounting Policies; ensure GL data completeness and accuracy.
  • •Oversee tax compliance and statutory/statistical reporting, including VAT/CIT obligations and submissions to GUS and NBP.
  • •Coordinate with auditors and support Group Finance reporting alignment with HQ and regional controllers.
  • •Supervise junior team members or accounting partners and drive automation/standardization of accounting processes, including updating procedures and controls.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • •At least 5+ years of accounting experience, with a proven track record in a Senior or Chief role within a multinational environment.
  • •Expert knowledge of Polish Accounting Standards (UoR) and Polish Tax Regulations, plus proficiency in IFRS.
  • •Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or Polish Ministry of Finance/SKwP certificate) is a strong asset.
  • •Advanced SAP (or similar Tier 1 ERP) knowledge and expert-level MS Excel; fluency in English and Polish is mandatory.
