Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate snack packaging machinery safely, efficiently, and continuously under general supervision.
  • •Read production schedules, plan accordingly, and maintain roll stock and packaging materials for each machine.
  • •Monitor and adjust machine micro logic for efficient, low-waste operation, including setups, changeovers, proper running, sanitation cleanup, and shutdown.
  • •Monitor seals, standard speeds, and weights/product appearance; account for product run-off and sort/rework good product.
  • •Maintain clean work areas, report maintenance problems to Maintenance Mechanic or Supervisor, follow safety/hygiene guidelines, and provide leadership/direction to the packaging line (as assigned).

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • •Ability to constantly lift and move stock by hand or manual equipment (including pallet jacks and forklifts), lifting 40+ lbs regularly and occasionally 50+ lbs with assistance.
  • •Comfort performing machine setups, changeovers, procedural adjustments, sanitation cleanup, and shutdowns.
  • •Knowledge of safe lifting/carrying procedures, including identifying and reporting equipment issues and job-related injuries.
  • •Ability to ensure packaging materials availability and support efficient, low-waste operation across packaging equipment.
